About the Founder
DERBY, Derby Network Publishing founder is a lead singer, composer, recording engineer and multi-instrumentalist.
Derby was raised in Argentina and comes from a family of musicians. He has been involved in creating and performing music since his teens, inspired by the sounds of Flamenco, Tango, Afro-Cuban, Jazz and Brazilian rhythms he was exposed to at home. He is a seasoned, polished performer and has been gigging professionally since 1992. From 1996 to 2000, Derby performed as singer/percussionist with Bambu, a world dance band touring throughout the U.S. He has opened for bands such as Everlcear, 112, Liquid Soul, Koko Taylor, Wyclef and Burning Spear.
Then in 2002, he began performing in NYC heading up his band "Derby” He released his own album titled "Let Me In" a soulful blend of funk and world, his live shows packed the house at clubs like CBGBs, Knitting Factory and Cutting Room.
As of June 1st 2009, Derby Network Publishing is happy to announce the Release of the much anticipated World Chill Vol 12.
The company also licensed 5 recordings for Buttonwood RealEstate, LLC for their presentation of their newest Madison Avenue residential tower SUNDARI.
Future Car
Discovery Channel
Several compositions from World Chill Volume 1 were featured on Discovery channel’s series Future Car. It soon became a best seller DVD with many enthusiasts wanting to own a copy of this fun series that takes you on a fascinating ride to the year 2030, and provides a glimpse at the futuristic car designs that will redefine automobiles as we know them and the incredible technologies that will make it all happen.
